Bullaburra

Most people wouldn’t even be aware that Bullaburra has a small  shopping centre on the south side of the highway on Cooranga Street. It has a sad and strange aura of neglect. There are a few professional offices struggling along here on Existing Use rights.

For some inexplicable reason,  BMCC rezoned this area so it can’t be used for shops and there are no signs on the highway.

It is sad to see townships losing shop facilities that are in walking distance for the surrounding residents. This is particularly an issue for Senior Citizens who need to be clustered in low maintenance dwellings around shopping facilities. Let’s see if it is possible to get this little shopping centre back as a vibrant local centre.

Bullaburra just seems to get forgotten at BMCC. It only has one small park, the Village Green…it can’t cost too much to run the mower around something the size of a pocket handkerchief.

The rates money paid by Bullaburra residents should be spent on Bullaburra!

If you live in Bullaburra, please let me know how BMCC can serve the residents better.

  1. Hi,

I’m researching the local candidates info as best as I can. I would like to say you have my got. You appear to be a very open, honest and transparent individual.

I live in Bullaburra. The main concern for my family is Boronia Road lacking a footpath. The road is very narrow in sections, yet is the main feeder road on the south.

I have seen many young children walking to school, mums with prams etc competing with trucks and 4×4’s. Whilst it is a good neighbourhood and people slow down it is an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed.

I appreciate the sentiment you raise about our fee’s covering very little from BMCC.

    Good luck with the vote.
